Juneja P. Information Technology Scholarship

Pratibha “Rani” Juneja established the Parshotam and Pratibha Juneja Family Charitable Memorial Scholarship in memory of her late husband, Parshotam “Paul” Juneja. Paul passed away on August 9, 2020. Paul enjoyed photography and took pictures everywhere he went. Because of his interest in photography, Rani created the Parshotam and Pratibha Juneja Family Charitable Memorial Scholarship for students in the Information Technology / Digital Media Technology Program.
According to Rani, “Paul was always smiling, loved America, and wanted to help people. Education was very important to him and he thought everyone should have the opportunity to learn. Paul’s legacy will continue with this scholarship, as each year a new student will have the opportunity to study to become a “camera man”.”
Paul was born in India on November 11, 1930. In 1959, Paul was selected by the Indian Government to be sent to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for training in America. He returned to India and worked in the Hindustan Steel Industry for fifteen years. Paul and Rani were married on March 7, 1962. Paul loved his time spent in America. In 1975, Paul and Rani immigrated to America with $7 in their pockets.
Paul worked for US Steel in Gary, Indiana for ten years. During this time, he was able to complete a Master in Business Administration and a Certification in Professional Engineering. He was hired as a civilian engineer in 1985 by the U.S. Army. Paul’s initial assignment was in Fort Worth, Texas; he later transferred to Pope Air Force Base and to Fort Bragg, NC.
Paul retired in 1995 and thoroughly appreciated the life he and his wife, Rani, built together. In his free time, Paul enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bridge, music, and photography. He was an active participant with the Blue Street Senior Center Bridge Club, where his callsign was “Three No Trump”. He and Rani loved traveling the world together. Making trips to India and other destinations across the globe was one of their favorite things to do each year. They have two sons, Prateek (married to Seema) and Puneet.
