Kathy Weeks ADN Scholarship

In 2020, Walter Weeks considered what he would give his wife, Kathy, for Christmas. She had spent the year bravely fighting cancer. He decided to surprise her with a donation to the nursing scholarship in her name at FTCC. Kathy was a former instructor in the nursing program and served as the department chair for 15 years. “Kathy loved teaching and working with her students. The scholarship is very important to her,” said Walter. “At our age, there’s nothing we need. I could not think of a better way to honor her and help education future nurses.”
Walter Weeks has continued to give to the scholarship as a gift to Kathy, and other family members and friends have carried on the tradition.
This scholarship is for a student enrolled in the ADN program.
