Mary and Conrad Swick Endowed Scholarship

Mary F. Swick and Conrad D. Swick have been married for more than 65 years. They have three adult children, Constance, Jeffrey and Charity. They also raised their grandson, Samuel.

Mary graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in 1969 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. She was one of the first females in the program. Mary worked hard and was a good student. She remembers that her advisor, Mr. Hancock, pushed her to excel.

Mrs. Swick enjoyed a long career with Monsanto (now DAK Americas) in Fayetteville, Conrad graduated from Methodist University and had a career in the military and later with the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. Mary and Conrad established this endowed scholarship to enable future Fayetteville Technical Community College students to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
